Sarah is the official spokesperson of the Community Council and represents the Council when dealing with outside bodies.

Lynda is responsible for compiling the agenda for meetings; and taking, copying and distributing minutes. She also answers correspondence and liaises with officials. She also looks after public relations and maintains social media on behalf of the community council.

Jim's role is to contribute to meetings on behalf of the local community and represent the views and opinions of local residents. Jim specifically deals with issues relating to the housing development at Bangour Village and any other planning and development issues.

Siân Williams

Sian's role is to contribute to meetings on behalf of the local community and represent the views and opinions of local residents.. Sian also maintains the community council X account. Sian design's and contructs the DCC Newsletter

The Vice Chair stands in for the Chair when they are unable to attend monthly meetings.

 

The Vice Chair supports the Chair in their role and takes over some of the workload when necessary or when asked.

TREASURER

IAN FERREL

Ian's Treasurer role involves responsibilities relating to the financial operation of the community council, for receipt and banking of the annual grant; issuing all cheques and making payments on behalf of the community council, he must keep proper accounts of all receipts and expenditure and prepare an Annual Statement of accounts. 

Ian is also part of a four person sub group who deal specifically with issues relating to the housing development at Bangour Village.

Greg's role is to contribute to meetings on behalf of the local community and represent the views and opinions of local residents. He brings a set of skills to the community council which can be called on if required.

Liz's role is to contribute to meetings on behalf of the local community and represent the views and opinions of local residents.

Isabelle's role is to contribute to meetings on behalf of the local community and represent the views and opinions of local residents. She brings a set of skills to the community council which can be called on if required.

The community council is continually working to support the needs of the local community therefore we welcome feedback, comments and participation from any residents of Dechmont who would like to contribute. Please contact us if you have any concerns relating to  matters which affect the local community.

The community council has formed a small group whose work together to plan and organise fund raising activities. All members contribute with ideas and volunteer their time.

Time offered to help the community in any way is gratefully appreciated, as is the help and support provided  by local counsellors .
